Australia, New Zealand hit by large-scale technical outage

Australia’s national cyber security coordinator attributed the “significant technical outage” to a problem with a “third-party software platform,” dispelling initial concerns about hacker activity. Australian national broadcaster ABC said its systems had been crippled by a “major” glitch, derailing some television and radio broadcasts.
