McAfee launches groundbreaking deepfake detection tool for audio

McAfee released the Deepfake Detector to help users identify AI-generated audio in videos. The tool analyzes audio within various platforms such as YouTube and X (formerly Twitter) to alert users of potential deepfakes. It operates directly on users’ devices to ensure privacy but does not support DRM-protected content. Initially, the tool is available for Lenovo Copilot+ PCs.
